While I do enjoy the trope when it is well done, the entire concept of a marriage of convenience, which in the modern world is so implausible, is greatly overdone in contemporary romance. However, this one did add an element of poignancy, as it was the directive of a loving grandfather who was dying. Not so much the marriage of convenience, of course, but Grandpa wanted to see his oldest grandson marry before he dies, and in fact, he made it a stipulation in his will that his grandson would not inherit the family company if he did not marry before his death.  - Jen

This is book number 1 of the Reid Brothers: Blue-Eyed Billionaires series and focuses on Logan and Mia. Logan is the CEO of his family’s company and Mia is his assistant of 2 years. When Logan finds out that he needs to get married to officially inherit the company, he ends up telling Mia the situation and asking her to marry him. What is supposed to be a simple fake marriage of convenience turns into so much more when they both begin to fall for each other and the marriage becomes anything but fake. This was a great story and a great introduction to the series. - Hanna B
